Lemon Law
Lemon Law protects consumers when one is a buyer or lessee of a new vehicle to get a refund or replacement if there are serious defects that are not repaired by the manufacturer after a reasonable number of repair attempts.
Under the Florida Lemon Law we want to recover either a new car, the value of the vehicle or repairs. Lemon Law is the law that protects consumers who buy or lease new vehicles which turn out to be defective. There are elements that are identified including a reasonable number of repair attempts, which would entitle a person to a refund or replacement of the vehicle.
This benefit is for the person who purchased on leased the vehicle. The transaction must have taken place in Florida. The problem must arise within the first 24 months after delivery.
My goal is to let you know where you stand with the possibility of winning under Florida Lemon Law by evaluating your documents, all actions including repair attempts, timing, etc. Once we decide where your vehicle is within the process, a decision must be made as to whether or not you want to proceed and how you would like to do that.
If you feel that you have a defective new vehicle, please follow the directions on this site where you shall upload documents for me to review. These documents would be helpful during any proceeding where the determination is being made whether you should get another vehicle or a refund. Documents to be submitted are orders, a defect notice (letter to the manufacturer sent return receipt), all receipts, and correspondence repair. Also, please write down everything you feel is important to remember so we can discuss your case in detail.
At times the dealership may not have given you a repair order, but that does not mean that the visit to the dealership does not count. Be prepared to let me know about each visit and what was said to the dealership and their response, if any.
